Ankita Konwar, wife of model and actor Milind Soman, keeps sharing snippets from her workout diaries for her Instagram fans. Ankita and Milind are a power couple who believe in initiating a change through fitness. Ankita is a fitness enthusiast and is often spotted working out in beast mode with husband Milind Soman for company. Ankita also swears by yoga. In multiple occasions, Ankita has been spotted speaking of the benefits of yoga and several positions, and how it helps in cleansing our body and soul to take on the day with fresh enthusiasm.

Ankita kickstarted Sunday on a fresh note with a yoga position by the sea. Ankita took a trip to the beach and let the nature heal her mind and soul as she performed the tree pose with the sun rising behind her. With the backdrop of a picturesque sunrise and the sprawling waters of the sea, Ankita faced the camera and balanced her body on her one foot as she performed Vrikshasana. In the picture, Ankita can be seen stretching her arms above her head and joining them to form the Namaskar. Her one foot can be seen balanced between her thigh as she stood and smiled.

With the picture, Ankita also spoke of the effects that the elements of nature have on us. “We must let the sun strengthen our DNA and the moon enhance our psychic abilities. Gotta be thankful that the trees absorb our negative energies and the ocean has the ability to cleanse our aura, and trigger a conscious state of calm and contentment in our minds,” wrote Ankita. Vrikshasana comes with multiple health benefits. It helps in strengthening the ligaments and the tendons. It also helps in improving the posture of the body by providing stability to the groin, thighs, hips and the pelvis. This yoga asana also helps in strengthening the core muscles.
