Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently posed for pictures with his ‘happy fan’ filmmaker Vignesh Shivn. The director heaped praises on him calling him an ‘iconic actor and a humble person’. Taking to Instagram, Vignesh Shivn shared pictures as he met Ranbir and described it as a fanboy moment. The pictures were clicked inside an elevator but it is not known where Ranbir and Vignesh met. In the pictures, Ranbir Kapoor was seen wearing a white T-shirt and a blue cap. Vignesh sported a full sleeve grey T-shirt. The duo smiled for the photos as Ranbir had his hand around Vignesh’s shoulder. Sharing the post, Vignesh captioned it, “That’s how happy one feels when clicking a pic with an iconic actor and an amazing, humble person. #ranbirkapoor #fanboy #fanboymoment #BestActor #ranbirkapoorfan.”
In the second picture, Vignesh can be seen smiling but with his eyes closed. Fans took to the comments section to ask why he had to close his eyes in the picture. A fan wrote in Tamil, “You had to close your eyes wearing a Balmain t-shirt (sic)”.
Vignesh is looking forward to the April release of the upcoming Tamil romantic comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. The teaser of the movie was released recently. It is like a light-hearted comedy about a love triangle featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha. In the film, Vijay and Samantha play characters named Rambo and Khatija, respectively. Nayanthara plays a character called Kanmani.
The project marks the maiden collaboration of Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha as a pair. Even though both of them were part of the critically-acclaimed Tamil film Super Deluxe, they didn’t have scenes together. This will be Vignesh’s fourth outing as a director.
Meanwhile, Ranbir’s upcoming projects include Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in which he will be seen with his girlfriend, actor Alia Bhatt for the first time. The movie will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. The film will release on September 9, 2022.
Ranbir will also feature in Luv Ranjan’s yet to be titled upcoming film along with Shraddha Kapoor. The film will release on March 8, 2023. The movie will also feature veteran actor Dimple Kapadia and producer Boney Kapoor. It is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and presented by Bhushan Kumar.
Ranbir also has Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera along with Vaani Kapoor. Apart from Ranbir and Vaani, Shamshera also features Sanjay Dutt. The film is slated to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu on July 22, 2022.
