Prabhas opens up about the possibility of Baahubali 3: ‘It’s in the hands of SS Rajamouli…’

With over 1000 crore in gross earnings, the Baahubali series is among the highest grossing Indian films till date. Rumours of a third part have been floating for a few years.

Actor Prabhas, who earned nationwide fame with the Baahubali films, has said the world of Baahubali can never come to an end. He added that if Baahubali 3 has to happen, it’ll definitely take time and that it’s in the hands of filmmaker SS Rajamouli. As part of the promotions of Radhe Shyam, Prabhas was asked if the third installment of Baahubali will happen anytime soon. “Baahubali is a film I will always hold very close to my heart. The kind of impact it has left in my career can never be matched. Whether Baahubali 3 will happen or not is something I don’t know. But I definitely can’t do immediately, but it has to happen, it will only if Rajamouli wants it,” Prabhas told Hindustan Times as part of a group interaction.

In the Baahubali series, Prabhas was seen playing Amarendra Baahubali and his son Shivudu (Mahendra in the Hindi version). The two-part action-drama also starred Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, among others.

Prabhas’ latest film Radhe Shyam has released in cinemas on Friday. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film stars Prabhas in the role of a palmist, who can predict the future of others.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan turned narrator for Radhe Shyam, which has released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Talking about Amitabh’s involvement as the narrator of the project, Radha Krishna Kumar said in a statement, “The film is set in the 1970’s and is mounted on a massive scale, we needed a voice that can command the nation and who better than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, a voice that everyone recognizes, respects and more importantly loved. We are so happy to have him as Radhe Shyam’s narrator .”
