Kangana Ranaut returned to Lock Upp sets a week after its premiere for The Judgement Day, where she assessed the performance of the celebrity contestants. A promo of Saturday’s episode revealed that among the contestants whom Kangana quizzed was Anjali Arora, a social media influencer with over 1 crore Instagram followers. Kangana, who herself has 79 lakh followers on Instagram, started grilling Anjali by asking her why she has so many followers on the social media platform. “Anjali, I can’t figure aapke 1 crore se jyada followers kyu hain (Anjali, I can’t figure out why you have more than 1 crore followers)?” Kangana asked her from her throne while laughing. The actor also asked Anjali to explain why she should follow her. The influencer, who is popular for her Instagram reels, responded by performing a dance routine on Param Sundari from Kriti Sanon’s Mimi.
Anjali folded her hands towards Kangana at the end of her performance, however, the host seemed unimpressed by it.
Kangana grilled other contestants as well during The Judgement Day, and even repeated her previous statement, “ye aapke bhai ka ghar nahi hai (this is not your brother’s house),” in reference to Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. “Iss Jail ko as a Ghar refer karna band kariye (stop referring to this jail as a home).”
She warned Payal Rohatgi that she hasn’t yet realised that she is in a jail, and told Tehseen Poonawalla that he is like biryani without salt. She also told off Shivam Sharma for his interactions with Sara Khan, saying “tum jo ye ladki ke piche pade ho…ho jaata hai kya do dino mein pyaar (the way you have been after this girl, is it possible to fall in love within just two days)?”
Lock Upp: Badass Jail Atyaachaari Khel, debuted on ALTBalaji and MX Player on February 27, and The Judgement Day episode airs on the weekends. The prisoner reality show would put its “controversial” celebrity players in severe situations where they will have to complete tasks in order to obtain basic necessities.
