Actor Karisma Kapoor’s daughter Samaira Kapoor turned 17 on Friday. Wishing her daughter, Karisma shared a photo of Samaira from the cake cutting ceremony on Instagram. Posting a picture of Samaira, Karisma wrote, “Happy birthday to my baby girl. #mamasjaan. Thank you for letting me post this pic.” She also added the hashtags, #birthdaylove #daughtersarethebest.”
Karisma’s close friend Amrita Arora commented on the post, “Samuuuu,” alongwith heart emojis. Saif Ali Khan’s sister Saba Ali Khan wrote, “Happy happy birthday Samaira.” Actor Tara Sutaria said, “Happy Birthday, gorgeous Samaira.” Actors Sanjay Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Maheep Kapoor, Mallika Bhatt and fashion designer Manish Malhotra also wished Samaira in the comments section.
Earlier in the day,Kareena also wished Samaira on Instagram with a throwback photo. She captioned it, “Mamma ‘s baby girl. Fabulous elder sister to our boys. Kind, gentle and beautiful. All of 17. Happy birthday to our Samaira. Love you so much. @therealkarismakapoor #Lolo ki Beti. Sam is 17.”
In an old interview with SpotboyE, when Karisma was asked about Samaira’s Bollywood career, she said, “That’s not true. My daughter and her group of friends are interested in films through all aspects of movies, so whether it will be behind the scenes or in front of the camera I still do not know. They are just experimenting now and learning the ropes. So right now there are no such plans per se. Above all, Samaira is very young and still in school. This whole project is like an extra-curricular activity.”

Samaira is Karisma and her ex-husband Sanjay Kapur’s elder daughter. They also have a son together named Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Karisma and Sanjay tied the knot in 2003. In 2014, Karisma filed for divorce, which got finalised in 2016. Karisma got the custody of both the kids.
