Colors TV shared the clip from the upcoming episode, in which Jaya and Karan were seen dancing to the iconic song Sargam. The 1979 fi starred late actor Rishi Kapoor in the lead role opposite Jaya. In the video, other judges of the show, actors Parineeti Chopra and Mithun Chakraborty are also seen enjoying the performance.
One fan commented on the video, “Rishi sir ki yaad aa gayi yeh dekhi (This video reminds me of Rishi Kapoor).” Many fans dropped heart and fire emojis in the comments section.
Sargam was Jaya Prada’s debut film. In an old interview with Bombay Times, Jaya had opened up about her first interaction with Rishi on the sets of the film. She said, “Rishiji may have been a hero for the world but for me, he was always my friend, Chintuji. He was my first Hindi film hero. On the first day of the film, I was both excited and nervous to be standing in front of a huge star who was smiling at me. He came up to talk to me and make me comfortable. He helped me get through long shoots. Since I had to dance barefoot, whenever I was hurt, he’d come running to check. He was fond of dancing and would give me a run for my money.”
