No, this not the name of the road but activists put up this sign outside the Russian Embassy in Washington as a mark of honour to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

A photo of a road sign reading ‘President Zelensky Way’ has gone viral on social media as Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky puts up a brave fight against Russian forces. Social media users claimed that a road sign was seen on a street in Washington outside the Consulate of Russia.

But is this the name of the street? No. However, the image is also not fake. Activists posted the sign outside the Consulate of Russia on Sunday afternoon in Zelenksy’s honour.

The Russian embassy is located on an offshoot road along Wisconsin Avenue.

Zelensky has emerged as an inspiring figure in the aftermath of the Russian invasion which enters 12th day on Monday. Refusing US’s evacuation offer, Zelensky said he will continue to stay in Ukraine and fight along with his countrymen. From secret locations, Zelensky has been issuing videos, statements, and speaking to politicians from other countries.

Ukraine says Russia has been targeting civilians and residential areas against which Zelensky has been urging Nato and the West to push for a no-fly over Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the other hand, has warned that his country would consider it war if any third country declares a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

In his latest address, Zelensky on Sunday said Ukraine will neither forgive nor forget the killing of civilians. “Today, a family of four, parents and two children, were killed in Irpin as they were trying to leave the city,” Zelensky said. “We will not forgive. We will not forget,” he said.
