India records 4,100 Covid deaths in 24 hours with backlog numbers added

India registered 4,100 Covid deaths in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said on Saturday, as the country reported 1,660 new patients.  The surge is attributed to the backlog data. The country has been reporting less than 100 deaths since March 21.
