Actor Alia Bhatt was spotted by paparazzi at the Mumbai International Airport on Sunday morning. The actor was taking a flight on a private plane two days ahead of her 29th birthday. She was accompanied by mom Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt as well. As videos of her appearance at the airport were posted by paparazzi accounts, many fans wished the actor in advance, while some wondered why beau Ranbir Kapoor was not travelling with her. In a video posted by a paparazzo account, Alia is seen at the counter right outside the airport, showing her papers to the official. She then turns around and waves to the paps, before heading off. Later in the video, her mother actor Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt are also seen arriving at the airport. As per the caption, the trio left by a private plane to celebrate Alia’s birthday. The actor turns 29 on Tuesday.

The destination for Alia’s birthday getaway remains unknown. Some fans in the comment section speculated it was Maldives while others suggested more exotic locations. It is also unclear if boyfriend actor Ranbir Kapoor will be joining his lady love there by flying out later. But that was certainly on the fans’ mind. Several comments in the video section asked, “Where is Ranbir?” Others congratulated Alia for a ‘much-deserved break’.

As per a report, the producers of her upcoming film Brahmastra will unveil a special video on Tuesday on the occasion of her birthday. A report in Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, “The audience would get a glimpse into her world in the film and unlike the first motion poster, this one might even have some actual visuals from Brahmastra.” It was on the sets of Bramhastra that Alia started dating Ranbir. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. It will release on September 9.

Alia was last seen on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film released earlier this month to positive reviews and has grossed over ₹100 crore, making it a box office success.
