Actor Ram Charan on Sunday paid a surprise visit to Mumbai’s Gaiety theatre where he was mobbed by a sea of fans as he was entering. The actor visited the theatre to thank fans for the love they have shown to his recent release RRR. In the pictures and videos that have been doing rounds on social media, Ram Charan can be seen surrounded by fans as he waves to them and walks into the theatre. He can be seen escorted by his entourage as many fans try and click pictures. In the pictures, Ram Charan can be seen wearing an all-black kurta and pyjama with a cotton towel. This is the look he will supposedly follow for the next few weeks till his visit to Sabarimala temple in Kerala. There’s also a video clip doing the rounds on social media. In the clip, Ram Charan can be seen waving to fans from his car as they cheer on him.

Ram Charan is currently observing Ayyappa Deeksha, a fast of 41 days kept by devotees of Swamy Ayyappa before they visit the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala. During the 41-day period, devotees wear black clothes and walk barefoot. The actor has previously also observed Ayyappa Deeksha.

Ram Charan’s recent release RRR has become a global success. In the film, Ram Charan has collaborated with SS Rajamouli for the second time after Magadheera. The film is a fictional story set in the 1920s pre-independent era and is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR).

Made on a budget of over Rs. 300 crore, RRR has already breached into the Rs. 700 crore club worldwide and is running to packed houses everywhere. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles.
