Just days after becoming Pak PM Sharif has directed greater focus on the so-called China-Pak Economic Corridor. The new Pak govt is working to ‘regain China’s confidence’, reportedly dented under Imran Khan’s watch. New Pak PM now wooing the Chinese & aims to deliver on the project launched by brother Nawaz Sharif. India has repeatedly registered protests over CPEC, the flagship project of China’s Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). CPEC projects in India’s territory that has been illegally occupied by Pakistan.
